This is how to daddysit.....

Notice the xbox controller in his hands....

Always good for a laugh...

I was so thrilled about the new glittery star I found at the store for the top of our tree and so was Addy. She said, "mommy! Can I hold that star?" To that I replied, "No honey. It's messy." I could see the wheels turning in her head as the expression on her face quickly became perplexed. She said, "It has poop on it?" That caught the attention of a few people around us and had me laughing pretty hard. As frustrating as our children can be at times they sure make up for it in a split second with their hilarious comments.

TrIcK oR tReAt!!!

I have to say that Halloween is so much fun with kids. My girls were both ladybugs and they were so cute. The excitement of getting in Addy's costume wore off before it actually got to Halloween. She had 3 Halloween parties that week and so it was almost like any other day. That was until we actually went trick or treating. So funny. Last year she was so timid when she went to the doors but this year was another story. When she would ring the doorbell and the people would come to the door she would step up that last step thinking they were inviting her in for dinner and a treat. I had to grab her arm several times. It was so much fun going around with her and watching her get so excited. Now I'm just trying to figure out what to do with her huge stash of candy! She doesn't need any sugar to contribute to her engery level. Here are my bugs and my cute family! Love them.

Potty Training

This stage in Addy's life has been..... interesting. I have had a very hard time "waiting for her to be ready." Really? Are any of us really READY to make big steps in our life. Sometimes, maybe, but why should a 2 year old have that much pull! With that said, she has done very well with as much of this transition as she wants to.

I thought this one accident was funny enough to blog about. Last night I am sleeping very soundly, as soundly as a mom with a toddler and infant can, when I heard little footsteps coming closer to the side of my bed. I instantly turned over in my half awake state, eyes still closed, and helped her get onto the bed and over me to be in the middle. I thought to myself, wow, this is sweet. I'll take a cuddle any time I can get one. When I actually opened my eyes to get a glance at my cuddly 2 year old I was very surprised to see her totally naked. I laughed to myself but was so deliriously tired I didn't think much of it. When my kids are in my bed I do not sleep very well so by the minute I was coming more into the conscious world and decided to ask Addy why she was totally naked. This is how that went.....

Mom: Addy, why are you naked?

Addy: Well mommy.... because I tinkled in my pjs.

Mom: Really? (Just totally irritated that I had to get out of my very warm and cozy bed)

Addy: YEP.

Luckily Addy has been asking to sleep with Chris's fleece blanket and that is where the accident happened so no sheet change at 4 AM for me! Best accident ever.

Scarecrow Festival

A couple girls from my neighborhood and I took our kiddos to the Scarecrow Festival at Thanksgiving Point. They had a blast. These kids play so well together and they are all so dang cute. It was so fun. While we were there we got to celebrate Easton's 3rd Birthday.

We had some friends over for a Halloween party last week and it was a blast! We have some awesome friends who have awesome Halloween costumes. Thanks to everyone who came! I'm sad that I forgot to take pictures of the whole spread. We had a dry ice punch, cupcakes frosted like brains, spiders in our dip, etc. It was a lot of fun.

Your hosts... a funktified witch with fire marshall Bill. You know, a very likely couple.
